I know there are a lot of options when it comes to Remote Management and Monitoring solutions, but was hoping to narrow that search in this community.

Requirements:

  • Either replace our existing remoting software (Splashtop), or use RMM that works with it
  • Monitor servers, switches and end user clients
  • Way to do bare metal imaging (similar to MS ConfigMgr)
  • Patch management for end user clients (allows users to postpone patch install/reboots)
  • Ability to install off the shelf and custom apps
  • End user antivirus solution
  • Reporting (clients who are behind on Win10 builds, User activity, software installed on each system)
  • Ability to import users from AD
  • Ability to setup rules and get notified on those rules if they aren’t in compliance. (ex: Admins are notified if a user is giving Administrator access to domain or local computer)

I don’t need an inventory system or ticketing system.

Hey OP,
From the capabilities you’ve listed, it sounds like GoTo Central could be a good fit for your org. Here’s our comparison guide that will give you the breakdown of all the features that our top remote solutions provide. GoTo Central is going to have the best resources for monitoring and management including mass deploy, patch management, as well as proactive alerting among other key capabilities that seem to match your needs.

If you’d like to check out additional features, or test it out through a free trial, here’s a link with details about our solution. Hope this is helpful! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Thanks for being a Splashtop customer. Sound like you need some RMM features. Can you PM me which Splashtop product you are using? For example, Splashtop Remote Support Premium has integration with BitDefender for endpoint anti-virus monitoring. There are various configurations/alerts function already built-in so we will be happy to walk through them with you (essentially, RMM-light). Seem like you already use MS ConfigMgr for update/patch.

If you ultimately do need full-feature RMM, there are over 6 RMM / MDM vendors that bundle Splashtop as their default remote control solution… we can also then share the list with you for consideration.

@Splashtop

We just started using Atera and my Sys Admins love it. It has had a few conflicts with our Carbon Black endpoint protection that we’ve been working out. It seems that every time Atera updates Carbon Black screams.

I just started using NinjaOne and am loving it. They can integrate with SplashTop. NinjaOne has put a lot of the tools I need into one management console.

Thanks for the tag! And happy that you’re having a good experience, feel free to reach out if you ever have any questions.

To the OP - we do have a full IT management console and it should tick most of the boxes you’ve listed above. We have a Splashtop integration, ability to monitor servers/switches/endpoints, patch management, reporting, AD import, etc. You can manage all of this from a central dashboard as well with the ability to run custom scripts and set up automated workflows.

If you are interested, we do have a free trial but I’m also available if you want to reach out to me directly with any questions or next steps. Good luck in your search!

Awesome, good to hear! And again, if you have any additional questions, let me know.

Hey @cwhitmore ,

Jamie from Pulseway here. Since you are looking for an RMM solution, I would suggest you also take a look at Pulseway RMM as it comes with endpoints/server monitoring and management, patch management, remote support, software deployment (custom app deployment), custom scripts that can be automated via Automation Workflows, Antivirus, Backup, Client Portal for Self Service, can be integrated with AD for more streamlined approach, comes with advanced reporting and mobile app for remote device management.

Give it a try and see if it suits your environment better, for the device count you have mentioned Pulseway could be a good choice for your network. Good luck!

Jamie,

I just spoke to Alan K. from your company yesterday. We have a call next Friday to go over features and a demo.

thanks,

Carlton.
