We currently have LogMeIn so that we can remote into machines. We are looking at changing because of the increase in price. Do any of you have any recommendations?
We have approximately 500 machines in 3 locations. We are a school and frequently need to remote into classrooms to assist students.
Thanks for any help you can give.

I would check out Royal TS, and it not only handles RDP but VNC, Vsphere and other items as well

Was going to say Dameware but then a quick lookup revealed that LogMeIn at the hiked price would still be cheaper.

Check out Connectwise Control. Has unattended access to easily remote into any machine the client is installed on.

If you like logmein, look at Splashtop as they are very similar in function, yet Splashtop is much cheaper.

For cheap Remote Assistance in a domain is a very good choice I used it years ago with XP and 7 and it worked well for internal support.
Hi Lynn6856
I think Goverlan would be the perfect option at a much lower price than LogMeIn.
Goverlan Remote Control allows you to disable client-side controls, enable curtain mode and allows to monitor multiple nodes at once.
Tons of other great features for Helpdesk and System Administrators.
Check us out Goverlan Inc

+1 for Splashtop.
We moved from LogMeIn several years ago to Splashtop, and couldn’t be happier.

Thanks to all of you! It looks like SplashTop may be the one we go with!

We dropped LogMeIn and PDQDeploy in favour of Goverlan. We use it to manage our NA sites. Far better admin feature set and less obtrusive client.

Thanks for your reply. I believe we have decided on SplashTop.

Look at iTarian RMM platform (Also Comodo One, same thing). They are currently free and have a decent remote control system. Being a school this would give you more in the budget for other things and also gove you more than just remote access since it’s a full RMM system for monitoring and pushing out MSI’s or scripts.
