Hello,

I’m working on cleaning up my device inventory and have run into a few issues that must have solutions; however, I’ve been unable to find them.

I’ve added 40-50 devices to a custom group I’ve created but they still exist in the “With Scan Errors” section. Is there a way to take devices out of this list?

I guess where I’m going with this question is can I bulk move 40-50 devices into the “I don’t want hassle-free monitoring–I’ll manage this device myself. Like a caveman.” section and at the same time stop them showing up in the “With Scan Errors” report or list?

Are there scripting or command-line options available for Inventory Management tasks such as renaming, entering details, or adding to new groups?

{"@type":"Person
{"@type":"Answer
There’s a kind of loophole/cheat option. You can use the Import Devices CSV script to update all the devices your having trouble with to manually managed devices.

You’ll want to export the information (name, serial number, IP address, etc…) via a report, then use the Import Device CSV script to pull the exported report back in. Doing this should mark the devices as manually added devices.
