VinFast has sparked fresh speculation after teasing a new vehicle with a “coming soon” message on its official social media. The image appeared late on March 31 and immediately triggered discussion about what the Vietnamese automaker may be preparing for launch. With several models already on the market and a rapidly evolving product strategy, the teaser has led many observers to believe the company is readying more than one announcement for this year.

The first possibility is an upgraded version of the VF MPV 7. Based on the teaser silhouette and roofline, many enthusiasts believe the image most closely matches VinFast’s seven-seat MPV. The model is currently sold at a listed price of 819 million VND and uses a single electric motor producing 201 hp and 280 Nm of torque. It also carries a 60.13 kWh battery pack and is claimed to deliver around 450 km of driving range under the NEDC standard.

If an update is indeed on the way, buyers are likely hoping for more comfort and convenience features rather than a complete redesign. Potential additions could include powered seats, a power tailgate, and a fuller package of advanced driver assistance systems. For family buyers, ADAS technology would be one of the most meaningful upgrades because it improves safety and helps position the MPV more competitively in a growing segment.

Beyond the MPV, this year would also be a logical moment for VinFast to refresh the VF 6 and VF 7. Both models have been around for several years since their initial reservation period, and neither has received a major mid-cycle update. That makes them strong candidates for a facelift, especially as customer expectations rise and competition becomes more intense in the electric SUV category.

The VF 6 is currently offered in Eco and Plus trims. The Eco variant produces 134 hp, while the Plus version raises output to 201 hp and 310 Nm of torque. The VF 7 sits in the C-size SUV space and is sold with two main powertrain choices, including a more powerful Plus version with dual motors producing roughly 349 hp and 500 Nm. Both vehicles already stand out for design, so styling and cabin improvements could make them even more attractive.

Attention may also shift to the larger VF 8 and VF 9. These premium SUVs are now mature enough to justify mid-life updates after several years on sale. In addition to visual revisions or equipment changes, VinFast could use the opportunity to explore a broader powertrain mix. With hybrid technology gaining momentum globally, plug-in hybrid versions of the VF 8 and VF 9 would not be surprising.

That strategy would make sense because the target audience for those models includes business users and family buyers who care about long-distance comfort, practicality, and new technology. A PHEV option could help solve range concerns while still aligning with the industry’s wider transition toward electrification. It would also allow VinFast to appeal to customers who are interested in electric driving but remain cautious about charging infrastructure.

Another model that continues to draw attention is the VF Wild pickup concept. The vehicle has already appeared at several company events, and many people believe it could eventually reach production. Some reports suggest that if it launches, it may not be a fully electric pickup at first. Instead, it could use a PHEV setup to balance urban usability with longer-distance flexibility in areas where charging stations are less available.

Whether the teaser points to a richer family MPV, facelifted SUVs, or new hybrid-powered products, the message is clear: VinFast is trying to keep its lineup fresh. The company appears willing to adapt its strategy as customer demand evolves. And if the “coming soon” announcement turns out to be the beginning of a broader new-generation rollout, this year could become one of the brand’s busiest product periods yet.
