Rory Agu will return to the Tide this season.
The Premier Development League and the Tacoma Tide FC have a number of goals and objectives. For the Tide, the #1 focus is developing young players to help them achieve their dreams of taking a higher step in the soccer world. Rory Agu embodies this process. Rory did not go straight into college like some of the other Tide players, past and present. Two former members of the Tacoma Tide have received an exciting opportunity to train with the Seattle Sounders FC for the 2009 Training Camp. This camp will give them the chance to show what they can do among MLS Veterans and newcomers jockeying for a spot on the ’09 roster. Jennings (goalkeeper) spent ’06,’07, & ’08 with the Tacoma Tide, while Fishbaugher (midfielder/defender) spent ’07 with the Tide. To see their stats while with the Tide, click HERE. Rafael Cox Drafted To MLS
Cox, selected in the 4th Round with the 54th Overall Pick to Real Salt Lake
[1/15/09] Rafael Cox was selected to Real Salt Lake in the middle of the 4th Round of the MLS SuperDraft Thursday afternoon. The Attacking-Midfielder spent part of 2007 and all of the 2008 PDL Season with the Tacoma Tide. Cox helped lead the team to the Western Conference Finals in 2008. Cox continues the Tide tradition of a successful jump to the MLS as he becomes the 2nd Tacoma Tide player to be selected in the MLS SuperDraft in the last 2 years.
