Michael Mayoral answered on Oct 26, 2021

A state attorney from a certain county can bring charges against someone from a different county for a crime that occurred in the state attorney’s county. In other words, if a crime occurs in Miami-Dade, but the defendant is from Broward, the Miami-Dade ASA can charge the defendant from Broward... Read more »

This is not a privacy concern, but there is no explicit "right to know" either. As you correctly note, you are a member of the team. The information may help you to make informed decisions about appropriateness of placement, etc.

Q: Can order for protection be enforced if the birth year is not correct on the order for protection

That depends on a number of factors including the specificity of correct information in the OFP. You should discuss the issue directly with a criminal defense attorney. I certainly would NOT suggest that you violate the order and HOPE for the best. That would be a terrible idea.

Q: If I were to buy a house with a married man that I’m not married to, would the wife have any right to the house?

If something were to happen to him, could she possibly get half or anything? They haven’t been together for many years. Him and I have two kids together

The answer depends on what you have listed on the deed. If the deed says two people own the house "as Joint Tenants" this means that when one dies, the other will own the full house. If the deed only lists both of your names, then when one dies, their half of the house will be a part of... Read more »

Q: Does a ticket for failure to put on hazard lights when being pulled over on a highway come with points? It's 75 4305(a)

I was pulled over for speeding. I was trying to speed up to pass and change lanes because the car behind me was driving way to close to my tail. Officer pulled me over. Didn't end up giving me a speeding ticket when I explained it but did give me a ticket for not putting on my flashers when he... Read more »

I can for certain that if you have a Pennsylvania license, you will not receive any points for that section. That may vary if you have an out of state license, but I have never seen that section result in points even for an out of state license. Best wishes.
