Logmein Alternative

I like many are ending our contracts with logmein and I am looking for an alternative. I have a Logmein Central account and mostly use it for 1: remote Desktop from a PC or mobile device. 2: To be able to allow a user to remote to an assigned PC(s) and 3: Logmein Hamachi for a personal VPN to gain access to network resources. Do any of these products or combination provide this functionalities?

You can actually just use Hamachi for all of that! Best of all, it’s cheap

Thanks for the reply, but I already have LogmeIn and am not going to pay the jacked up prices. Like most, I am not renewing my subscription this year and am looking for an alternative.

Jacked up? Maybe for Central but Hamachi has been the same for many years. We pay $29 a YEAR for remote access to 32 machines.

Alternative to LogMein?

Hi, I’ve just had an email informing me that LogMein will no longer be free. I use it quite often to remote into the servers from home and a few colleagues connect to their desktops. Can anyone recommend an alternative that is similar? @GoTo @Bitdefender @Kaseya

Logmein alternative

Hi all, We want to use a VNC solution instead of paying for something like Logmein. We use ChunkVNC which runs of ultravnc for 1 click support and it works great. Idealy we want the same method but for permanent server access. The chunkvnc does not work well with this. It uses the ultravnc repeater for access over port 443 so we dont need to port forward. Is there any way to set up ultravnc server the same way but have it run even if the server is rebooted?

Okay i know this has been asked a thousand times... but i am looking fir a alternative to logmein Central. Every question i see about that has teamviewer, vnc, rdp and other screen viewing programs. So LogMeIn has decided to put the screws to it’s loyal customers this year, and hit the ball out of the park with price increases. Good alternative for Log Me In Free.

I need a good alternative for Log Me In Free. I have a user who needs to access their work PC from home. I don’t want them using Log Me In Free, because I want it for IT access and the PC can only subscribe to one account. Our in house VPN client won’t work because she has a Mac. I need an alternative that allows your to remote into a PC across the WAN for free that does not require someone to be at the destination PC to allow access. Any ideas? @GoTo @Cisco_Meraki_1

Alternatives for Logmein Free to remote control computers and servers.

We have been using Logmein Free to Remote Control Our servers and computers, but now the free package is going to be discontinued and everyone has to pay. As of this morning the Logmein service is no longer available for free, It is now a pro only service. I know most emphasis on this issue is on tech support but I need a good solution for individuals. I have 15 users that access their work PC from home. I can’t say enough good things about screen connect. Sadly since they were bought out their prices have risen dramatically. It is still a good product though.

Chalk me up on the list of logmein defectors… Jacked up the price on us 2 years in a row as we went from 300 to 400 to 500/year. While 500/year is not much to my company I have cancelled out of principal. This is what happens when you try to screw your customers…
