Hi, y’all - Chad here. A while back, we used to feature the top posts from our brand reps (aka “Green Gals/Guys/et. al.) in a weekly or monthly wrap-up post. I can’t specifically recall which, as that was approximately eleven timelines ago. Luckily, our theme for 2023 is “Bringing Back the Spice!”, so let’s bring some back by celebrating our wonderful and dedicated Greenfolk!.

We’ll start doing this on a regular basis (if you like it) to shout-out our amazing partners, but as a former GG myself, I think this can also be a good resource to see “how it’s done” for anyone who might be new to the Community, or to their role as a brand representative. As usual, they were hard at work in January, so let’s highlight some* of their popular posts!

Some Top-Performing Posts by Brand Reps (aka Green Folks)

These are some posts from brand reps with the most engagement/best stats. Doesn’t matter the topic or category, this is just good-old-fashioned communication. In no particular order, here are some of their most-engaged-with posts:

Justin for Veritas threw down an absolute geek gauntlet by asking “ who would win ?” in an all-out war between Star Wars ships and Star Trek ships. I guess me & my Scooty Puff Jr.® will just have to sit and watch this one!

On the DIY front, Juwan for ViewSonic got into a whole thing about building custom PCs . There’s some cool builds and tips to check out!

In another post, Javvad (KnowBe4) let us know that not all parking tickets are created equally ! Thanks to his groundbreaking reporting, I’m now assuming they’re all fake and I refuse to pay!

Poor David (Tripp Lite) , constantly lost, just never knowing from which shelf or desk or dashboard he’ll be looking upon a mess of wires .

Pop quiz, hot dog! Not really, but Aleks (NAKIVO) would like to know if you’re a tech visionary . Based on the pile of dead Tamagotchi on my desk, I don’t think I qualify.

Some Replies with Helpful Votes

This is based on the number of times a reply has been upvoted as being “helpful”. Like this:

Roger (KnowBe4) sure knows his stuff. Like, all kinds of stuff! On this particular thread , he shows that simply understanding where OP is coming from and sharing a resource can go a long way towards fostering real connections. Great job!

And on a more technical level, CloudBackupGuy (Managecast) managed (ha!) to snag a few thumbs ups for his contributions to this chat about disaster recovery .

Some Top Contests

And just to save the best for last, contests can be a great way to gauge (and engage with) your audience. These folks did it right in January and had some of the most engaged-with contests on the Spiceworks Community!

Tamara for Scale Computing got some people to use their superpowers of mouth-frothing by posting a contest that offered TVs and Star Wars as prizes! Well done!

Not to be outdone, Brittany (NinjaOne) went straight for the jugular with a contest offering caffeine to the winner(s) ! That’s just smart contest-makin’, right there!

Big thanks to all of these brand reps for their efforts to share relevant and meaningful content, provide helpful answers, and in general, just bringing the Spice!

If I wasn’t so stoic (and humble), this might’ve hurt.

Nice way to bring a few conversations up that slipped through the cracks recently, I just spent over an hour going through some of them.

Great idea - I do feel some of these posts fall through the cracks so a roundup or wrap-up would be nice.
